The Daily: I Hate Daylight Savings Time

Sunday, March 13, 2022

6:27 am: It's still so dark outside...right, Daylight Savings Time. Now I'll spend the rest of the day thinking about how it's 6:30 but it's really 5:30.

6:43 am: Dressed and went for a jog in the morning air. Saw an elderly neighbor who wanted to stand and talk while I was jogging...he totally does not get the point of a jog.

7:12 am: Walking back from my jog, a big spider was crawling across the sidewalk, probably the cousin of the spider I swallowed yesterday morning.

7:50 am: Husband took my car to get gas in it, I am sure it's going to cost more than a hundred dollars to fill up, my heart can't take it.

9:05 am: Working on a story for The News With No Sound. A new study found Californian are happier not commuting to work. Well, no shit.

10:15 am: Another trip to the Home Depot. I have to return the voice activated kitchen faucet I bought because we are too stupid to figure out how the install it. Sigh.

10:57 am: Take the kid to Target, they have an elaborate expensive enigma of a Technic Lego set he wants. Fine with me, he has a gift card from Christmas and it will keep him busy during the afternoon.

11:45 am: Picking up burritos for lunch, this woman cannot make all the meals around here people.

1:30 pm: Sunday book reading. Yes, it's still Dietland. Seriously, the book is great, I just only get a few pages in before I feel sleepy...so I fall asleep reading. Sorry, Sarai Walker.

2:13 pm: Dog walking. The dog loves this walk in the middle of day, at least I think she does, she does lag behind a lot. It must look like she's walking me on the leash.

3:03 pm: Sitting with the kid while he works on this Lego set, he's not even halfway done. It will be dinner time before he's done, my goodness Lego, what have you done.

4:45 pm: Time to throw dinner together before we all start digging into the Skinny Pop.

6:00 pm: Walking the dog, thanks to the time change I don't need a flashlight, so there is one good thing about DST.

7:05 pm: Finishing The Last Duel movie, I might have lost my interest in this movie because I split it over two nights. Lesson learned, don't split movies in half or maybe don't pick movies over two hours long.

9:10 pm: I can't do this anymore, this being awake nonsense. Hitting the sheets.
